2025 SESE RESEARCH REVIEW | School of Earth, Society & Environment

The 2025 SESE Research Review will be held in-person on Friday, February 14^th at the Illini Union in rooms A, B, & C.

Research Review is the festive annual gathering where graduate students, faculty, and research-active undergraduates display their research and socialize. Researchers from throughout SESE present posters/visuals, typically over 70 in total, and a few take the stage to present one of the ever-popular 5-minute “lightning talks.” The photo contest never fails to showcase the incredible photography captured by members of our school. This year's theme is Candy Land!

1:30 – 3:00 PM Photo Contest Voting
2:00 – 3:20 PM Poster/Visual Presentations
3:30 – 4:15 PM Welcome Message & Lightning Talks
4:15 – 5:00 PM Poster & Photo Contest Awards

*The doors will officially open at 1:30pm for the 2025 SESE Research Review

Lightning talk nomination form due: December 2^nd
RSVP deadline: January 24^th
Photo contest submission form due: January 31^st
Poster abstract & PDF submission form due: January 24^th
