The isotope geochemistry laboratory houses a Nu Plasma HR multicollector inductively-coupled-plasma mass-spectrometer (MC-ICPMS) supporting the groups of Professors Craig Lundstrom and Thomas Johnson. The instrument is designed to measure isotope ratios to high precision. Our interests cover a wide range of studies from geochronology to tracing geochemical sources to monitoring reduction and diffusion. Isotope systems routinely analyzed include Mg, Si, Fe, Cr, Se, Sr, Hg, Pb and U.
